There's something magical about a photo booth. And it's not just that there's a miniature dark room hidden behind the wall, or that someone has to care enough to measure and change the chemicals in the ancient machine. It's not even that in the digital age, it's remarkable that a real photo booth exists at all.

No, the real magic is in what happens behind the curtain. How for those 30 seconds ( JA PICBOX LO HACE EN 10 SEGUNDOS !), the world disappears. How entering a photo booth is almost always an ostrich in the sand scenario, where, despite our visible feet, we feel that no one but the person we have our face pressed up against can see us.

Selecting the Perfect Wedding Photo Booth

The key to a successful wedding reception may no longer be a matter of booking the hottest venue, finding the best caterer, or engaging the right band. Photo booths are fast becoming today's “must haves” to ensure your celebration is truly memorable. Of course, the trick for many brides-to-be is picking from the wide variety of innovative types springing onto the rental market. As if wedding planning wasn't already stressful enough, right? Here are a few tips to make this task a little easier.
While the selection of a photo booth is largely a matter of personal taste, many wedding planners seem to prefer vintage-style booths. The exteriors of these booths are straight out of the 1950s, and many still use the classic “dip-and-dunk” photographic process to produce 1.5” by 7.4” strips. Of course, there are also newer versions that offer the vintage look while incorporating all the bells and whistles that come with Webcam-style photography and digital thermal printers. For example, NYC Photobooth offers a variety of vintage-style photo booths to meet all needs. For a small additional fee, they'll even supply your booth with props, like hats and scarves, to inspire your guests' creativity and add to the wedding party amusement.
For those who find these old fashioned vending-style booths a bit unattractive, there are many companies, like Party Booths Digital Photo Rentals, that offer elegantly designed booths that enhance the beauty and ambiance of a formal reception, rather than distract from it. Although Party Booth Digital Rentals is based in Minneapolis, MN, it delivers nationwide and offers a full complement of services, including customized film strips that carry a special message or the names of the bride and groom. Its handsomely designed booths also have a removable bench seat to accommodate large groups. This extra-large VIP size often encourages guests to cram all their family and friends in at once.
Indeed, there is nothing quite like the charm of watching groups of 12 or more friends trying to fit into the booth at once in a dead heat to see who can make the goofiest strip. Many couples have the photo booth placed next to the bar for added enjoyment. Some even have their DJs announce photo strip contests or games as added incentives that really get the party going!

ABBA al ritmo de un photobooth

Ok... es claramente un "guilty pleasure" del 99 % de la gente que vive en este mundo, pero este video de ABBA es una joya. Si observan bien la primera parte del video, simula claramente una cabina de fotos ( como la de picbox ), pero obviamente con su look súper 70ero, empalagoso al más no poder. También existe la secuencia de The Brady Bunch para “ustedes” los calvados que quieran echarle un ojo.

Oks, este es nuestro primer blog, por lo que realmente no se que suceda de aquí en adelante. PICBOXnow es este nuevo concepto de poder conectar eventos/fiestas en México, hablando en si de lo divertido y original que pueden ser estos eventos. Picbox apoyará muchísimo este blog pues creemos que es el canal y "mojo" a tras de todo esto :) por si no han checado metan se a www.picboxmexico.com son las cabinas de fotografías mas completas y divertidas de México. Nos propusimos mi socio "Rabitt" y yo ( el otro socio ) de hacer las cabinas mas picudas de México y creo que lo estamos logrando!

Por el momento, este es el incio! ojala les guste estaremos sacando fotos de picbox, nuevos eventos, postenando links y cosas que veamos que sean interesantes.
